PAF Female Medical Officer Jobs 2026 Categories and Training

Two categories are open under this recruitment for female candidates. The Specialist category under SPSSC is for qualified female doctors holding recognized postgraduate fellowships in seven defined medical disciplines. The General Duty Medical Officer category under SPSSC is for female MBBS graduates with minimum first division and at least one completed year of PMDC-recognized house job. Both categories involve a 24-week residential training programme at Pakistan Air Force Academy after selection. Female Specialist officers are commissioned at the rank of Squadron Leader and female GDMOs at the rank of Flight Lieutenant.

1. Female Specialist officers are posted to PAF hospitals based on their area of specialization, providing expert clinical care to PAF personnel and their families. The seven specialties being recruited are Eye, Anaesthesia, Radiology, ENT, Psychiatry, Neuro Surgery, and Orthopedics — each representing a critical clinical function within the PAF healthcare network.
2. Female GDMOs manage daily outpatient consultations, emergency cases, and routine health assessments at PAF station dispensaries and sick quarters across the country. They coordinate with specialists for complex referrals and serve as the first point of clinical contact for hundreds of patients at their assigned stations.
3. Every commissioned medical officer participates in fitness boards that assess whether PAF personnel are medically fit for continued active service. Required Qualifications

• Female Pakistani nationals are eligible to apply. Age must be between 25 and 35 years as of 15 October 2026. A valid NADRA Smart CNIC and a current PMDC registration certificate are mandatory at every stage of the selection process.
• For the Specialist category, a recognized postgraduate fellowship or diploma is required in one of these seven disciplines:
• Eye Specialist — FCPS or FRCS OPTH or Diplomate of American Board Anaesthetist — FCPS or FRCA or Diplomate of American Board Radiologist — FCPS or MRCR or FRCR or Diplomate of American Board ENT Specialist — FCPS or MRCS ENT or FRCS ENT or Diplomate of American Board Psychiatrist — FCPS or FRCP or MRCP or Diplomate of American Board Neuro Surgeon — FCPS or FRCS or MRCS or Diplomate of American Board Orthopedic Surgeon — FCPS or FRCS or Diplomate of American Board
• All degrees whether from Pakistan or abroad must be PMDC recognized.
• For the GDMO category, an MBBS degree with minimum first division from a PMDC-recognized institution is required along with at least one completed year of house job. Candidates who cleared FCPS Part 1 after December 2025 are also eligible. Preference is given to those with relevant field experience after house job completion.
• Female candidates previously rejected twice by any armed forces selection board or permanently declared unfit by the Appeal Medical Board are not eligible to apply.
