This recruitment covers two main categories. The first is the regular Sailor category covering trades A through K. The second is the Direct Entry Sailor or IT branch covering ITT-1, LITT, and ITA-IV grades. Each branch has its own specific education, age, height, and marital status requirements as detailed below. All candidates must be Pakistani nationals and the age cutoff is calculated as of June 2027.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Branch Sailors handle the maintenance and operation of mechanical and electrical systems, weapons equipment, and technical platforms on Pakistan Navy ships and at naval stations across the country. This is the largest and most technically demanding trade in the Navy and requires candidates with a science background at Matric level.
2. Naval Police Sailors are responsible for maintaining law and order within naval bases, managing security at sensitive naval installations, and supporting the provost and discipline functions across the Pakistan Navy. This branch requires candidates with a minimum height of 170 cm and Matric with science or arts qualifications.
3. Marine Branch Sailors serve on Pakistan Navy vessels in operational roles and are part of the Navy’s frontline maritime workforce. Candidates for this branch need Matric with science subjects and a minimum 6/6 unaided vision in one eye and 6/6 in the other.
4. Naib Khatib Sailors serve in the religious and spiritual welfare function of the Pakistan Navy, providing Islamic guidance and leading prayers for naval personnel at bases and on ships. Candidates must have passed Matric from a religious institution or be a Hafiz or have a Fazil qualification and must be at least 35 years old.

6. Musician Sailors are part of Pakistan Navy’s official bands and ceremonial units representing the force at formal events, national parades, and official functions. Matric with science or arts and a minimum height of 170 cm is required.
7. Driver Sailors operate military vehicles at naval installations and during official deployments. Candidates need Matric with science or arts along with a valid motor car or jeep driving licence and must be between 18 and 24 years of age.
8. Sanitary Worker Sailors perform hygiene and cleanliness duties at naval barracks, hospitals, and shore establishments. Only Middle Pass is required for this trade making it one of the most accessible entry points into Pakistan Navy service.
9. IT Branch Direct Entry Sailors under ITT-1 and LITT grades handle information technology, computer networking, software applications, and digital communications functions at Pakistan Navy IT facilities. These positions require Matric with 65 percent marks plus DAE in IT or computer-related subjects with 50 percent marks.
10. ITA-IV grade candidates under the IT branch are for candidates with Matric 65 percent plus DAE in IT or computer subjects plus either a BS or BSCS degree with 2.5 GPA or above, or relevant computer science qualifications from a recognized institution. Age limit for ITA-IV is 27 to 32 years.
11. All selected sailors complete a structured initial training programme at a Pakistan Navy training establishment before being posted to their assigned units. Training builds physical fitness, naval discipline, trade-specific skills, and the values expected of every Pakistan Navy serviceman.
